Two ways to remove
The right method for your skin and your pigment.
Which approach suits you depends on the pigment, its colour and depth, and your skin. Helen will recommend one or a combination at your consultation — and tell you honestly how many sessions are likely.
Laser Removal
A specialist laser breaks the pigment into tiny particles that the body then clears away naturally over the following weeks. Effective on a wide range of colours, working gradually across a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart.
Saline (Non-Laser) Removal
A gentle saline solution is worked into the area to lift pigment to the surface as it heals. A good option for smaller areas and certain colours, and often chosen when laser isn't the best fit.
What to expect
Gradual, careful, and always honest.
01
An honest assessment
Helen looks closely, explains what's realistic, and recommends the right method. Laser includes a patch test.
02
A course of sessions
Pigment fades gradually, so removal is done over several sessions spaced weeks apart to protect the skin.
03
A clean base to rework
Once lightened enough, Helen can leave you clear or design fresh, natural brows over the top.
Investment
From £100.
Every removal is different — the size of the area, the type and depth of pigment, and how many sessions are needed all vary. Helen confirms what your treatment needs, and what it will cost in total, once she has seen the work in person.
Because it is priced per case, removal and corrective work is not included in any discount or promotional codes.
Consultations are always free.
Discoloured brows?
Ask Helen about Yellow Brow Rescue.
If a course of laser has left your brows yellow or brassy, that specific concern has its own name and its own page. Brows that have turned orange, red or grey are handled by the removal routes above rather than by Yellow Brow Rescue.

The things people most often ask.
Can old microblading or permanent makeup be removed?
In most cases it can be significantly lightened or removed. How far it can go depends on the type of pigment, its colour, how deep it sits and your skin. Sometimes the aim is a clean slate; sometimes it is to lighten the old work enough for Helen to design fresh, natural brows over the top. Helen will look closely at your work and tell you honestly what is realistic.
Which is better, laser or saline removal?
Neither is better in every case. Laser tends to move more pigment per session on larger, denser work, but it responds differently depending on the colour. Saline (non-laser) removal is often kinder for smaller areas and works on colours laser struggles with, such as yellow. Often a combination, sequenced properly, does more than either alone, and Helen recommends the right method at your consultation.
How many removal sessions will I need?
It varies from person to person, because it depends on how much pigment is in the skin, its colour and depth, and how your skin responds. Helen gives you an honest estimate at your consultation and revises it as your skin shows what it is doing. Removal is a process, not a single appointment, and anyone promising one session is not describing how pigment behaves.
How far apart are removal sessions?
Sessions are spaced several weeks apart. That gap gives the skin time to recover fully and, with laser, gives the body time to clear the broken-down pigment between visits. Rushing the process risks the skin, so Helen would always rather take it slowly.
How much does removal cost?
Removal starts from £100. Every case is different, because the size of the area, the type and depth of pigment and the number of sessions all vary, so Helen confirms what your treatment needs and what it will cost in total once she has seen the work in person. Removal and corrective work is not included in discounts or promotional codes. Consultations are free.
Where is removal available?
The full range of removal, including laser, is available at the luxury boutique clinic in Lytham St Annes. The monthly specialist clinic in Manchester offers brow removal using Botched Ink® saline (non-laser) removal, and Yellow Brow Rescue.
