Helen builds high-quality colour into the skin in soft, fine layers across two appointments — light and airy for a naturally soft brow, or built up gently for more definition. The right technique depends entirely on your skin, your hair, and the look you're after, which is what your consultation is for.

Colour & shape
The longest appointment, and the one that sets everything up. We map the shape to your features, work through colour theory for your skin and hair, and place the first layer of pigment.
Then
The healing period
Six to eight weeks. You’ll follow a personalised seven-day aftercare routine and take away a full heal guide, so you leave the clinic confident you know how to look after your new brows.

Polish & blend
Once healed, we perfect the shape, replace any pixels lost during healing and blend the finish. This is where the result settles into something that looks like it has always been yours.

The things people most often ask.
How long do permanent eyebrows last?
Naturally Defined Brows typically last 12 to 18 months before they need a colour refresh. How quickly colour softens depends on your skin type, sun exposure and the skincare you use, and oily skin or regular exfoliating products tend to fade pigment sooner. Most clients book a refresh roughly once a year to keep the colour soft and the shape crisp, and Helen will advise what suits you at your top-up.
Is the Naturally Defined Method the same as microblading?
No. Microblading cuts individual hair strokes into the skin. Helen’s Naturally Defined Method builds colour in soft, fine pixelated layers instead, so the finish looks like a soft brow rather than drawn lines and wears more like skin. It can be kept light and airy or built up for more definition, and the right approach for your skin and hair is decided at your consultation.
Does having permanent eyebrows hurt?
Most clients describe it as very manageable, more of a light scratching sensation than pain. Helen works gently, takes breaks whenever you want them, and goes entirely at your pace. If you are nervous, say so at your consultation and she will talk you through exactly what each stage feels like.
How long does the appointment take?
Allow around three hours for your first appointment. Much of that time is spent mapping the shape to your features and matching the colour to your skin and hair before any pigment is placed. Your top-up, six to eight weeks later, is shorter and is where the shape is perfected and any colour lost during healing is replaced.
Can you work over my old microblading?
Sometimes. If the old work is light enough and the shape is workable, it can be corrected directly. If the skin is already saturated, or the colour has turned orange, grey or yellow, it usually needs lightening or removal first, because adding pigment to saturated skin makes a poor result worse. Bring your brows to a free consultation and Helen will tell you honestly which route is right.
How much do permanent eyebrows cost?
Naturally Defined Brows are from £350, or £380 where the work is more complex. The price includes your free consultation, your first session and your 6 to 8 week top-up. Your exact price is confirmed at your consultation before anything is booked, and a non-refundable booking fee secures your appointment.
Where are permanent eyebrows done?
All permanent makeup treatments, including brows, are carried out by Helen at the luxury boutique clinic at 8A Market Square, Lytham St Annes. The monthly Manchester clinic is for brow removal only, and many clients happily travel from Manchester to Lytham for their brows.
