Helen works on the upper lash line only, using one signature technique in two ways. A lash line enhancement is tattooed through the lashes themselves, working from the first lash to the last — definition with no visible line. A classic eyeliner builds on that enhancement, tattooed over the top row for a soft, defined finish. Which suits you is decided together at your consultation.

We decide together where the line sits and how much definition you want, match the depth of colour to your colouring, and place the first layer.

The healing period
Six to eight weeks. You’ll follow a personalised seven-day aftercare routine and take away a full heal guide, so you leave the clinic confident you know how to look after your new eyeliner.

Once healed, we refine the line, replace any pixels lost during healing and build the depth if you’d like it stronger.

What is the difference between a lash line enhancement and classic eyeliner?
A lash line enhancement is tattooed through the lashes themselves, from the first lash to the last, so the lashes look darker and fuller with no visible line. A classic eyeliner builds on that enhancement and is tattooed over the top row for a soft, defined finish. Both are on the upper lash line, and which suits you is decided together at your consultation.
Do you do the lower lash line?
No. Helen works on the upper lash line only, using one signature technique in two ways. Keeping to the upper lash line gives a soft, flattering definition that suits most eyes and ages well.
How long does permanent eyeliner last?
Eyeliner is long-lasting, often several years before it needs a refresh. As with any permanent makeup it softens gradually, and how quickly depends on your skin and lifestyle. Your top-up six to eight weeks after the first session perfects the line once it has settled.
Can I have permanent eyeliner if I wear contact lenses or glasses?
Yes, and it is particularly popular with people who wear glasses or contact lenses, because applying eyeliner can be awkward with either. You will need to leave contact lenses out for the appointment and for a short time afterwards, so bring your glasses. Helen will tell you exactly when you can wear lenses again.
How much does permanent eyeliner cost?
Lash line enhancement and classic eyeliner are each £300, including your free consultation, first session and 6 to 8 week top-up. Allow around two hours for the first appointment, which takes place at the Lytham St Annes clinic.
